National 529 Campaign Chair Young Boozer offers advice that applies to college savings as well as other areas of life during pandemic times: “be calm, hunker down and stay the course.” He says federally insured 529 plans can make sense for families in specific situations but also cautions that too conservative of a plan can minimize tax-advantaged growth benefits of a 529.
